Recommendation Report

In addition to the Energy Performance Certificate there is also a Recommendation Report. This section offers advice that will enable building users to reduce their energy consumption and also the amount of CO2 they emit. The recommendations are grouped according to their cost effectiveness and also according to their impact on CO2 emissions. There is no compulsion to follow any of the measures recommended but doing so can save the building user money. For example, The Globe's EPe shows that the heating demand is 311.28 KWh/m2 during the course of a year. Changing the boiler to a high efficiency type will reduce this requirement to 227.38KWh/m2, a saving of 27% . The likely time to "break even" is indicated for each suggestion. This time is purely indicative and does not take future price increases in the cost of energy into consideration.
